Franciscan Starburst Spoon Rest
(or Small Ashtray)
This shape in the Starburst pattern is sometimes called a spoon rest and sometimes called an ashtray. I'm not sure what the official label is because from what I've seen, it's a pretty even split in opinions. There is, however, another piece in this collection that is called an ashtray (and it is very obviously such), so I'm personally of the persuasion that this is, in fact, a spoon rest. (It might also have something to do with the fact that I find a spoon rest a much more useful object than a personal-sized ashtray.) If you are of the persuasion that it is an ashtray, you will need to differentiate it as the smaller of the two in the pattern.
According to the line drawing, the company item number for this piece was 1894.
